Psychoeducational evaluations incorporate psychological and academic instruments to identify and diagnose various disorders or learning styles that may be interfering with a student's performance at school. Early identification and intervention of ineffective learning is crucial in preserving a student's self-esteem and investment in school. Educational testing is valuable for elementary through college students and can serve to enhance any student's performance. In addition to a clinical interview and in-office testing, these assessments may or may not include school observations, consultation with teachers, and a review of past report cards. Reports are comprehensive and include recommendations for integration in the school system, testing center, and home environment. Guidance on 504 or Individualized Education Plans (IEP) may also be recommended based on results.
